What is Blasting?
Blasting is a technique in which abrasive is blasted at a surface at high speed to remove rust, old paint and other contaminants. This process produces a clean and rough surface, ideal for good adhesion of new coatings.
Our Beam Robot
Our blasting robot has a cabin of 25 meters long, 9 meters wide and 10 meters high, built entirely of steel. This allows us to efficiently treat even the largest objects. With two 19 mm nozzles we can blast up to four containers simultaneously, resulting in a high throughput speed and short delivery times.
Degrees of cleanliness
We use different levels of cleanliness to meet your specific needs:
• Sa 1 (Light blasting): Removal of poorly adhering mill scale, rust and paint layers.
• Sa 2 (Thorough blasting): The surface is largely free of mill scale, rust and old paint layers; any remaining contamination adheres well and cannot be removed with a blunt putty knife.
• Sa 2½ (Very thorough blasting): Slight discolouration in the form of spots or streaks may remain on the metal.
• Sa 3 (Blasting to bare metal): The metal has an even metallic colour without any contamination.
These levels of cleanliness allow us to precisely tailor the blasting to the desired finish and application on the product.
